The Heimbuch family began planting vineyards at Thanksgiving Farm in 1998 on fallow fields that historically were used to grow tobacco. Over the years, we conducted extensive field trials to identify grape varieties, clones and rootstocks that are well suited to the growing conditions at Thanksgiving Farm.
