Built in 1893 by gentleman farmer Robert Cheston and his wife, the former Mary Murray, the farmhouse of Thanksgiving Farm was designed in 1892 by the renowned Virginian architect William C. Noland, principal and founder of the Virginia architectural firm of Noland and de Saussure.
